St. Pius X Church is a Roman Catholic parish that welcomes all those who are interested in forming a relationship with God and their fellow parishioners. Located in the Albany, New York, suburb of Loudonville, the church prides itself on presenting elegant, dignified masses that celebrate God’s love. In addition, St. Pius X maintains a number of service ministries that reach out to people both locally and around the world.

The history of St. Pius X can be traced back to the latter half of the 1800s, when young Irish immigrants began coming to Loudonville in search of work. Recognizing the need for a Catholic parish to serve these new arrivals, the local bishop approved the construction of a mission chapel that eventually opened its doors in 1916. St. Pius X assumed its current name in 1954, 3 years after becoming an independent parish. The church went on to settle at its current site on Crumite Road in 1969.

Today, St. Pius X continues its mission to love and serve God under the leadership of Father Jim Walsh, who has guided the church as pastor since 2013. To learn more about the Roman Catholic parish, please visit it online at www.stpiusxloudonville.org.
